AFL-CIO and Local Unions back Bale Dalton

SANFORD, FL –  The Florida AFL-CIO and unions including the Communications Workers of America, SEIU, AFSCME, AFGE, UNITE HERE Local 362, the Southern Regional Council of Carpenters, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 756, the United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 295, and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1625 have announced their support for Bale Dalton, in the “toss-up” race for Florida’s Seventh Congressional District.

Bale Dalton, a Navy combat veteran and the Democratic nominee in Florida’s Seventh District commented saying:

“Labor is the backbone of our economy, and every worker deserves to know someone has their back. In Congress, I’ll fight to bring more good-paying jobs to our community, strengthen protections for workers, and make sure working people get a fair shake. I’m proud to have the support of our unions and the working Floridians they represent.”

Eric Clinton, the President of the AFL-CIO’s Central Florida Central Labor Council said:

“The labor community needs a fighter in Washington, and Bale Dalton is our fighter. He understands the value of hard work, and we’re confident he’ll stand up for workers across our community with the same grit and determination he brings every day. We’re proud to stand with Bale and put the full strength of our union membership behind him.”
